A small perennial shrub that is native to Asia and Africa but can be grown as an annual in cooler climates. The roots of this herb are gathered in the fall and are best known to help reduce stress. Makes beautiful green foliage that set out red berries hidden in little jackets. Start indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost and plant out in a warm and sunny location once night temperatures are above 6C. Soil need to be around 20C for seeds to germinate.
