This variety of Arnica is native to North America. It is similar to Arnica montana but is better suited for growing at lower elevations. Makes many yellow flowers, grows in a wide variety of soils and thrives in full sun. The flowers, stems and leaves are medicinal, use fresh as once harvested flowers turn into fluff very quickly. Start indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost or start outdoors after last frost. Once established plants multiply with rhizomes.
